The Village of Western Oaks is a very convenient neighborhood. The developement began in the late 1970's and the building did not finish until the the early 2000's. The community has many options from which a buyer may choose. The styles of the homes change somewhat from the earlier homes to the ones that were just completed in the last few years. They started out with only one side masonry and ended with 3 or 4 sides masonry. The sizes range from about 1400 square feet to about 4000 square feet. Shopping near the Villages at Western OaksThere is shopping near you on either side of the Villages at Western Oaks. To the older side, you would go to the shopping at Mopac and William Cannon which has Randall's Grocery store, Costco, many banks and many many merchants. Exiting the subdivision to the other side, you would take Escarpment to Slaughter where there is an HEB and many smaller merchants from which to choose. If you travel a little more to the north on Mopac there is Target and Super Walmart. Then travel east for 1 block and you will find Barnes and Noble, Pier 1 Imports, TJ Maxx, Home Depot, World Market and a great many others. Shopping is plentiful in the surrounding areas of the Villages of Western Oaks. At the Slaughter Lane and Escarpment Boulavard intersection you have Satellite Cafe, Waterloo Ice House with their outdoor play area, and Mangeire's Pizza. If you go to the William Cannon side of the community, you will have Panera Bread, Cypress Grill, Firehouse Subs, Cheddar's and Chuy's.
