Where is Lakeway?Traveling West out of Austin you should either take Hwy 71 West, RR 2222, or Hwy 183N, until you intersect with Hwy 620. If you are traveling Hwy 71, you would turn right on to Hwy 620. From RR 2222 or Hwy 183N, you would turn left on to Hwy 620. The Village of Lakeway is about halfway between RR 2222 and Hwy 71W. Where to shop near Lakeway?Shopping near Lakeway offers one many choices. At the entrance to Lakeway there is a small shopping center with a bank, Starbucks, a home decor shop, a boutique, a shoe shop and a jewelry store. Just down the road, there is a Randall's Grocery store, another Starbucks, and many other shops. Not very much farther down 620 toward Hwy 71, you will find a Target and a Home Depot. At the intersection of Hwy 71 and 620, there is the Hill Country Galleria and The Shops at the Galleria where you will find some small boutiques along with Dillard's, Ann Taylor, Talbots, Old Navy, and many more national chains. You will always have shopping nearby when living at Lakeway. Restaurants near LakewayWhen thinking of eating out near Lakeway, one has many options. We can begin talking about the restaurant at the Inn at Lakeway. I haven't eaten here in a while, so I can't say what the food is at this time, BUT the view is awesome. In the shopping center at the entrance to Lakeway, there is an exellent Italian establishment called Rocco's. There are a couple of other small restaurants in the same shopping center. Going north on 620 there is another Italian place, Hill Country Pasta House, that has great pizzas and pasta. Right next door is a small upscale restaurant called Hudson's on the Bend. The menu here is varied and they serve some unique dishes. They are very well liked by many of Austin's residents. Going the other direction on 620, you will have a few choices. There is another Italian establishment called Ciola's and the food and service here is great! In the same shopping center, there is a good Mexican place called Flores. All along 620 there is no shortage of national fast food chains like Wendy's, What-a-burger, Chili's, and Chick-fil-a. Then at the Hill Country Galleria, there are several choices for eating. Here you will find an Iron Cactus, which is an upscale Texmex place with good food and atmoshere. Across the small street, there is Fish City Grill that serves up everyones favorite seafood Cajun style. There are also some chain sandwich shops here along with a Mimi's Cafe. The brunch at Mimi's on the weekends is wonderful. I am sure that I have left out some of my favorites from this page, but I think you get the picture that you will not go hungry living in Lakeway.
